Changes with Upcoming Appointments

S‚Äčince the health and safety of our clients and providers is of utmost importance, Hoffmann Burchett Psychological Services will remain open to meet your needs during the current Shelter in Place mandate, but during this health crisis, and for the safety of everyone, all of the services will be provided remotely for the foreseeable future.

As such, starting Monday, March 23rd, we will be "seeing" clients through a virtual telepsychology platform which has been approved due to the current COVID-19 pandemic. We realize that switching over from traditional in-person therapy to online therapy may sound strange, but research has shown that telepsychology can be just as effective as an in-office appointment. Plus, this option allows us to continue your care plan without interruption.

Contact either Dr. Burchett (309-830-8099) or Dr. Hoffmann (309-706-5057) to get instructions to set this up so we can remain connected and continue to provide support during these unprecedented times.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we implement new technologies and procedures.  These are certainly uncharted times for all of us but we will continue to navigate the journey together.

We at Hoffmann Burchett Psychological Services are wanting to reach out and let you know where we are with regard to the current COVID-19 pandemic.  We appreciate the caution and concern this virus has created both locally and throughout the world. We are all experiencing numerous changes in our day to day routines, lending to heightened anxieties and creating a new level of awareness among us.

Please know that we continue to follow the direction of health and government agencies, and are taking additional steps to support overall efforts for health and safety. We are committed to maintaining a safe and clean office space for our clients. In addition, we are able to provide resources to help you navigate the days ahead in terms of how to manage related anxieties, how to talk to your children and teens about what is happening, care giving tips, and overall self-care.

In consideration of this stressful time, and to reduce undue worry around appointments, we will be waiving our current cancellation fees for the next 30 days. We ask you to notify us in advance if you feel you are at risk for COVID-19, and to take preventative measures for the safety of yourselves and others. If you have flu or cold like symptoms, such as a dry cough or fever, newly developed shortness of breath, or if you have recently traveled outside of the area, or have been in contact with someone who has traveled or contracted the virus, please contact us to reschedule your appointment.

While we are not currently set up to provide TeleHealth services, we are looking into what various insurance policies in our state allow, and will notify you if this becomes an option moving forward. In the interim, we encourage you to check with your individual insurance provider to determine your eligibility, if that is of interest.

We appreciate your cooperation as we do our part to ensure the health and safety of our office, our clients, and our community. We remain committed to providing a safe therapeutic environment and continuing to offer the highest quality of treatment services. Please take care of yourselves by being informed but not inundated, and taking the necessary precautions that will keep you safe and prepared.
